Sermon – "The King of Glory"

On Christ the King Sunday we aligned the theme of our worship with the notions set out in Psalm 24 regarding the sovereignty of God and the Kingship of Christ. “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,” we are instructed by the Psalmist, “the world, and all who live in it.” We focused on the idea that though we ourselves are wholly incapable of earning our way to God, through Christ’s atoning sacrifice and God’s mighty grace we are made clean, righteous, and worthy to come before God, not just now, but eternally. Consider this week what it means that Christ is King and that God is sovereign.
