People…You!! I love having a community of friends who are all so different, and yet we all love music and singing.
We sustain each other through prayers. You all have also sustained me through a pat on the back, a hug or by singing while I cried through a verse I couldn’t sing.
Because we see each other week in and week out, we are with each other on good days and on hard days. And because of that, we get to know each other better as we talk to each other.
I absolutely love singing in choir. I love that our singing is a group effort—I love the togetherness of it. We each bring our individual gifts and voices to choir, and we sing as one unified voice singing our praises to God. And hopefully our effort helps the congregation worship, as well.
Music is the language of the soul and singing allows me to feel closer to God. I love that each week when we sing the hymns and the anthem, the world melts away and I feel like every word I sing is my prayer to God.
