Worship – How Can This Be?

On this third Sunday of Advent, we celebrate the Joy of the season with the exultant and sacred music of Christmastime. Our message this week focuses on the glory of God, specifically in the appearance of the angel and heavenly host to the shepherds in their fields by night. We sing hymns of joy and glory, including O Come, All Ye Faithful; Infant Holy, Infant Lowly; and Joy to the World. All of our choirs tell the story of the angels and shepherds–including a selection from Handel’s Messiah, a gospel rendition of Go, Tell It on the Mountain, a dramatic setting of Hark the Herald Angels Sing, and more. Let us wonder about the glory of God together.
