Worship – Psalm 8

We begin a short sermon series on the Psalms, leading off with the majestic Psalm 8, which offers us both comfort and peace under God’s guidance and security. “What is mankind that You are mindful of them?” the Psalmist asks our Creator, before concluding with the beautiful words of praise, “Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” The South Main Orchestra leads us in several hymns of adoration: In Christ Alone; Father, I Adore You; and Glorious Is Thy Name. For the offertory, the Sanctuary Choir and orchestra sing and play a lush setting of Psalm 8 entitled The Majesty and Glory of Your Name.
