Sunday was Christ the King Sunday, and our worship will focus on the glory of God and kingship of Jesus Christ. Concluding our series on the Psalms, we focus our attention on Psalm 24, which tells us “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it...” We will open our service by singing Crown Him with Many Crowns, before transitioning to the Lord’s Prayer, calling on Christ the King to let His Kingdom come, His will be done. Our Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra then emphasize this phrase by leading the powerful anthem, Let Your Kingdom Come. After the Good News, we respond with a hymn pulled straight from Psalm 24: Lift Up Your Heads, and our Orchestra plays an arrangement of O Worship the King as the offertory.
